Recovering from the affair and rebuilding my marriage.
This was a long and very difficult process. The details are in our “Testimony”. I just want to mention here that God had been good to us and gave us a better marriage than we’ve had before. He gave us a “Marriage Ministry” and put me in a “Men’s Group” where we help people to sort out their problems. He gave me another business and is slowly but surely restoring our finances. My relationship with my Children is getting better by the day and I have a clear goal to play my part in the “Building of a Godly Nation” process. In fact, I have a desire to be remembered for 400 years after I have left the earth.
So, what have I learnt from this affair?
- I have a weakness for women.
- I should NOT counsel women – when I get the opportunity, I should refer them to Louwtjie. She is gifted with the ability to teach women to trust God till their husbands are men of God.
- I should run away from situations where I can fall – I am not strong enough to say no, so I should RUN before I have to say no.
What has God called me for?
I believe I was created to help people solve their problems by empowering them. God therefore gave me an understanding into human emotions, why they do things, and how to change their lives for the better. I also know that if the devil wants to stop this, he is going to attack me in this area. How can I help people if I use the vulnerability of their situation for my personal benefit? I am called to be a “Man of God” and to show people how a life dedicated to God can help them to fulfill their destiny. My main focus should be to teach men to be men like God intended for them to be and to show couples how to build strong Godly marriages where they can grow strong families – the “Godly Nation” principle.
