This is a Testimony rather than a Technique when we simply discovered what our God says in 1 Sam 15:23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft. This revelation sparked the desire to take our God given authority as parents over our Children to align their behaviour to God’s Word. Like most parents, we tried all the alternative methods and still had a 3 year old rebel in our house!
Finding inspiration and patience in the heart of an intense tantrum from your very strong willed 3 year old is like finding a needle in a haystack.
Fighting fire with fuel is about the most accurate way to describe how most parents deal with these situations. The end result is one huge explosion that affects everyone living in your household.
Realizing that there are 4 different personalities living under one roof was a reality with very sharp teeth, but once we realized this, miracles happened and our lives changed.
On my lowest day after a week of my toddler giving us uphill at every opportunity, God showed me that we weren’t the only ones with this issue. I witnessed tantrums & outbursts from other families and realized that we were not equipped or enlightened enough to deal with these things on our own and desperately needed God’s help in raising a Godly generation.
God brought it to my attention that my children are not mine and that I’ve only been given stewardship over them for a very short time and it’s our responsibility to teach them Kingdom principles.
John 10:10 says : The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. So, Satan comes to destroy our authority as stewards over these children that God placed in our care; we weren’t going to let that happen. Eph 6.12 (For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places), is a very powerful verse with an answer to most, if not all problems. God laid it on my heart that we Christians, (born again, Spirit filled, mature and name bearers of Christ), don’t realize the authority and power we have over Satan and his demons through Christ who gives us strength. 1 John 4:4 says : You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
Never doubt the prayers of a praying mother (or father), it’s like messing with a mamma bear. The battle belongs to the Lord as do my children. I struck the devil down, cut off his plans against my children and bound rebellion. I called my children’s souls to realign themselves with God’s Kingdom and His ways. A battle won in the Spirit has miraculous results in the natural.
God is awesome. He is all powerful and victorious. Our little toddler woke up the next morning her happy, cheerful, obedient little self full of giggles and smiles, only by God’s Grace.
