The Big Question many people ask
Why did God make you?Probably the most popular Question
asked by many Jesus Followers…
Why did God make you?
Will we not be much more successful if we simply do what we were designed to do?
Will we not be able to say NO to opportunities if we knew we were not made for that – e.g. If we can’t handle blood, we would battle to be a Doctor.
What I discovered…
One is simply far more successful if one simply does what one is naturally good at. After all, would God give you specific talents if He didn’t want you to use them? So, if you can find out why God put you on earth, and just do that, you will be successful! Can you tell someone in a single sentence why God made you? That, I call your “1 Liner”. To give this a little more credibility, I looked in the Bible for the 1 Liners of big Men of God.
Moses. Would you agree his 1 Liner (Life Purpose) was to lead the Israelites out of Egypt into the Promised Land?
Noah. Would you agree his Life Purpose was to build the Ark so that God could save mankind?
John the Baptist. Look for yourself in John 1 and John 3 how he explains that his purpose was to prepare the way for Jesus. Later, when it looked like Jesus was in competition with John while they were both baptizing people, it came out clear once again that he was not threatened by Jesus because he clearly understood his 1 Liner. Look at his comparison to a Best Man to the Bridegroom (Jesus) in John 3:29.
Jesus. He came to save us and show us how to be led by the Spirit of God.
Paul. To bring the Gospel to the Heathens.
So let’s find out why God made you…
It is so simple – just ask God. The answer may be so simple that you won’t recognize it. Here are a few hints.
- It is not work related – it will be applicable at work, at home, between family, friends or strangers.
- It is something that comes naturally and you’ll do it with less effort than other people.
- It is NOT something that you are envious of that someone else is doing well.
- It is something that you’ve done many times before without realizing it.
- It is something you are passionate about.
- You feel empty if you don’t do it.
- We as authors of this website want you to understand the seriousness of your one liner, just as us it changed our lives. So join us on your journey to it. May God bless you as you spend time with your Creator to find out why He put you on this planet at this time.
